Makeup Forever Aqua Rouge swatches

I love statement lips so for bolder lip colours I keep the Makeup Forever Aqua Rogues in my kit. They work the same as the Makeup Studio lip fluids, long wearing, waterproof and easy to touch up but unlike the Makeup studio lip fluids (where i'd have to order them for you) clients can actually purchase these themselves from Media Makeup at $38. I haven't had the chance to use them for a bride yet but heres to hoping :)

Makeup Studio Australia Durable lip fluid swatches

Recently I've been putting my brides onto the Makeup Studio Australia's Durable lip fluids which promise to be waterproof, smudge-proof and kiss-proof. Usually I give clients a variety of lip products to choose from as everyone is different but I just haven't come across anything to be as long lasting as these lip fluid and gloss combo.

They aren't cheap at $38.90 a pop but essentially you'll be getting two items, a lipstick and a gloss. Its a double ended wand with colour on one side and gloss on the other. Colour is applied with the doe foot wand and once it's completely dried you apply the gloss with its brush wand which locks the colour in place and gives it a natural or high gloss shine depending on how much you apply. They come in a variety of colours and I always suggest that if it's a colour you can see yourself wearing everyday then it would be worth it to invest for your wedding day as touching up is as easy as reapplying gloss. You can always use other glosses with them but unfortunately it doesn't have the same staying power but still longer than a normal lipstick.

Inglot AMC lip pencil swatches

My favourite go to lip liners. I initially bought these as I like matt lip colours and the makeup artist at Inglot suggest I use these under their lipstick since I found them to be  a bit too creamy.
The Inglot AMC lip pencils are larger than average pencils so it's much quicker to line and fill in the whole lips. As with all matt lip products it can be drying so make sure you prep your lips before hand (dry cracked lips are a definite no no). If you're not in to matt lipstick you can just use them as liners or easily change their texture with a bit of gloss, something I like to do so it gives a softer colour and doesnt look to harsh with more natural makeup.

A great tip, if you are planning on buying these pencils buy their sharpener also! I have a few sharpeners to fit different size pencils but even though they fit it work sharpen these liners without breaking them and losing a lot of product :(

Cinema Secrets lip palette # 14 Coral Reef

Swatches of my #14 Coral Reef lip palette from Cinema Secrets. I purchased it from Camera ready cosmetics due to their bright picture (which is never the same and can't be help due to monitors) but was a bit disappointed when I received the palette and the colours looked rather dull. This was quickly changed when I swatch the colours which were actually nice nudish corals, not too bright for bridal, which is what I wanted them for in the first place.

Graftobian Cool lip colour palette

I really regret not getting the Graftobian super palette and instead only purchasing the fashion palette to try first and of course purchasing the cool lip palette after because I'd fallen in love with them.

At the time i'd already had a few lip palettes and though it would be easier and lighter to carry the 5 colour lip palette around and since the super palette is made up of the fashion, cool and speciality palette plus a red and 2 glosses it's a bit too late now.

Admittedly they are much easier to pack in my kit and I can always purchase the speciality and lip gloss palette separately in the future if I want need all the colors in the super palette.

Graftobian Fashion lip palette

The Graftobian fashion palette is one of my favorite go to lip palettes. Their lipstick formulation and texture is great, not too waxy or creamy and nice pigmentation, i've had this palette for a while but there's still plenty left as you only need a little bit.

The colors are all very nice and natural for bridal work and i find i reach for this palette the most when doing photographic work  because they look great on camera.

Cinema secrets lip palette #12 bubbly gum

Another Cinema secrets lip palette in #12 Bubbly gum. I'm usually not a fan of pearl lipsticks but the colors are pretty and they look great on certain skin tones.

My lips are a bit dark and some of the colors in this palette tend to wash me out. For people in the same situation I suggest applying either foundation, concealer or a nude lip liner to your lips first so you have a lighter canvas to work on and lip gloss/lacquer on top that will change the hue slightly to suit your skin tone more.

Cinema secrets lip palette kit #1 Buy me love

I'm usually a boring and inconspicuous person but I love red! Lips, nails, shoes, bags you name it, there's just something about red that calls for attention but can also be simple and demure at the same time.

I believe there's a red lipstick for everyone, you just have to try them all and see which one suits you the most (or the one that makes you feel the most confident).

My favorite red lip palette is the #1 Buy me love from Cinema Secrets. It is my go to palette for when I'm doing vintage looks and I always keep it in my bridal kit just in case I get a bride who wants statement lips.

The palette comes in 5 colours which are wearable on their own or can be mixed and customized. I like the texture, nice and firm, which makes it easy to apply, the pigment is great and the formula is very long lasting.
